Experience must also include working with hydraulics, torque, drag analysis, bit selection, casing design and drilling and well design software including daily drilling report systems and the directional planning software Compass.

Position Summary:
Evaluates rock and fluid properties utilizing the full array of data and tools, such as open-hole logs, special and routine core analysis, image log analysis, well tests, drilling data, and formation pressure. In addition candidate will plan, supervise, coordinate and control the collection of petrophysical data necessary for evaluations.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
• Derive rock and fluid properties of reservoir zones, based on analysis of laboratory core measurements
• Calibrate well log petrophysical measurements using core and fluid data, utilizing standard petrophysical and geostatistical software and techniques
• Develop models of reservoir mineralogy, hydrocarbon volumetrics, and field definition using petrophysical and 2D/3D mapping and modeling tools
• Design formation evaluation programs, including well logging core, and well testing, tailored to the unique challenges of individual reservoir intervals
• Develop, in cooperation with GeoServices staff, standards and policies on analytical protocols and quality assurance metrics, as they apply to petrophysical data acquisition and processing. Work with staff and vendor companies to achieve these goals
• Create and deliver technical presentations to staff and outside organizations
• Includes responsibilities to support technical teams in both Denver, CO and Midland, TX offices
Qualifications:
• M.S. or an advanced degree is preferred with a minimum of a B.S. in a related field (Geology, Engineering or Physics)
Minimum of five years of experience with three years in petrophysical analysis
Experience with the management and evaluation of multi-well projects
Experienced user of standard industry formation evaluation software, esp. TechLog
